Reusable pen and cartridge components

Use this visual guide to identify the supplied parts, check that they are correctly seated and keep the reusable pen and cartridge protected between research sessions.

The first photograph shows the actual all-black Core Peptides kit. The remaining original manufacturer images are retained only as component references, so their blue finish and generic wording do not describe the supplied product. The supplied selector runs from 0 to 60 clicks, and its separately supplied 3mL cartridge is fitted afterwards.

What is in the kit

The reusable kit contains the black pen body, removable pen cap, empty cartridge holder and protective case. The 3mL cartridge is not pre-installed in the pen: where included in the order, it is supplied as a separate labelled component and fitted afterwards.

The selector fitted to this pen runs from 0 to a maximum of 60 clicks. Any larger numbers visible in a generic manufacturer reference image are not the selector range of the supplied Core Peptides model. Device markings do not establish a research amount, and this guide does not provide dosing or administration instructions.

Check the components first

Confirm that the cartridge label matches the order and retain the related batch documentation. Check the pen, holder and cartridge for cracks, damage, leakage, a loose seal, cloudiness or unexpected particles before handling.

Do not force, modify or use a damaged component. Keep the working surface clean and dry, and contact Core Peptides if anything is missing or does not fit as shown.

Fit and remove the 3mL cartridge

With the pen cap removed, separate the cartridge holder from the pen body as shown in the component diagram. Insert the correctly labelled 3mL cartridge in the illustrated orientation, then reconnect the holder gently until it is secure. Stop if there is resistance or the holder does not sit flush.

To remove a cartridge, reverse the same component sequence without twisting or pressing the cartridge itself. Never transfer a label between cartridges, and keep each cartridge with its own product and batch record.

Storage and transport

Keep prepared cartridges refrigerated at 2–8 C and protected from light unless the product-specific record states otherwise. Do not freeze. Store the capped pen in the protective case and avoid leaving it in a vehicle or other location exposed to heat.

The case protects the device from knocks; it does not replace the product-specific temperature and storage requirements shown on the listing and supplied documentation.

Cleaning and disposable parts

Wipe the outside of the reusable pen and case with a clean, lightly dampened lint-free cloth, then dry them fully. Do not immerse the pen, place it in a dishwasher or use abrasive cleaners or solvents.

Do not share the reusable pen or any disposable component. Where single-use sharps are used in an authorised research setting, never reuse them and dispose of them immediately in an approved sharps container in accordance with local rules.

If the diagram does not match

Pen models and supplied components can vary. Treat the printed manufacturer instructions supplied with the device as the model-specific reference, but disregard any generic product wording that does not match your order. If the parts, cartridge size or sequence differ from the images above, stop and contact orders@core-peptides.co.uk with your order reference and a clear photo of the parts.
